Brent Taylor’s journey to becoming a literary agent began with a childhood love for reading that evolved into a deep curiosity about the publishing industry. In high school, Brent interned for numerous literary agents, reading queries and writing reader’s reports on manuscripts.

Brent joined Triada US as an intern to Uwe Stender in the summer of 2014 and became an agent that fall. In 2026, he was promoted to vice president and executive agent. Over his 10+ years with Triada, Brent has represented numerous #1 New York Times bestsellers, numerous #1 USA Today bestsellers, a Newbery Honor winner, a Printz Honor winner, a Schneider Family Book Award winner, a YALSA Award for Excellence in Non-Fiction for Young Adults winner and finalist, numerous Stonewall Honor winners, and an E.B. White Read Aloud Honor Book. His clients’ books have collectively earned over 100 starred reviews from the trade reviewers such as Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, Booklist, School Library Journal, and others.
