DEAL UPDATE:
Film rights to the middle grade novel Priscilla the Great by Sybil Nelson, pitched as "A Young Juno Meets Pippi Longstocking" to Doubleteam Productions, an on-going partnership between Appledown Films and Scott/Burns Productions by Uwe Stender of TriadaUS Literary Agency.
The Austrian filmmaker Michael Grimm (Slidin', Kuss mich, Prinzessin!) has optioned the German film rights to Mark SaFranko's 1987 novel THE FAVOR.
Mark SaFranko's novel Hating Olivia to Amy Baker at Harper Perennial by Uwe Stender at TriadaUS Literary Agency for release in 2010. Hating Olivia is the story of Max Zajack. Max's life is a rut filled with dead-end jobs and sexual and suicidal fantasies... until he meets the alluring and mysterious Olivia Aphrodite.
Dan Fante's novels to Harper Collins/Perennial:
Dan Fante's "86'd", will be published by Harper Collins/Perennial in September 2009. The sale was made by Uwe Stender of TriadaUS Literary Agency to Amy Baker at Harper Perennial(World). In a four- book deal Harper Perennial also acquired the rights to Dan Fante's novels "Mooch", "Spitting Off Tall Buildings", and "Chump Change."
Spitting Off Tall Buildings will be released by Harper Collins/Perennial in December 2009.
Chump Change will be released by Harper Collins/Perennial in December 2009.
Mooch will be released by Harper Collins/Perennial in December 2009.
Mark SaFranko's "Putain d'Olivia" was released on April 1, 2009 in France to great fanfare. TV 2 reviewed the novel favorably. The Canadian magazine Toro just ran a feature on Mark, which you can read here:

Shawn Thorgersen's YA novel "Bizenghast" based on characters and situations created by M. Alice LeGrow, to Jenna Winterberg at TokyoPop by Uwe Stender at TriadaUS Literary Agency (World). The release date is August 2008.
Jill Elaine Hughes', writing as Jamaica Layne, "Market For Love," a contemporary erotic romance to Adam Nevill at Virgin Books by Uwe Stender at TriadaUS Literary Agency (World; E-rights to Madris DePasture at New Concepts Publishing). The book's release date is October 2008.
Dan Fante's MOOCH was optioned by Michelle Weisler (The Ring, The Ring 2).
